Starting New Strong Churches Team
Team Leader: Joey Dean

This past year has been a time of transition; as the Starting New Strong Churches Team sat down to reevaluate how support can best be given to new and existing church plants within the association.  The decision was made to change the current structure of support, which has been a 3-year tiered support system, to a yearly evaluation system that would determine how much continuing support was needed for each church plant moving forward.  A three person team was assembled by the Starting New Strong Churches Team that would be responsible for the yearly evaluation of all new and existing church plants requesting further support.  We believe that this new support system will help to strengthen church plants, while providing additional support to church plants that are reaching the unchurched.

The association continued to support Christ Community Church, Everyday Church, Providence Road Communities, Redeemer Church, The Well (S. OKC), The Well Church (Moore) and South Lakes Church.  UBA has partnered with these churches in the past year to purchase equipment, help with property location, as well as, providing training and continued education for the planters of each of these churches.  UBA has invested in these church plants and the church planters so that they can be engaging in the work of reaching the unchurched in Cleveland and McClain counties.

One highlight of the past year has been the launching of Hope Community Church in Norman.  Please keep this church plant and their leaders in your prayers.

The goal of the UBA Starting New Strong Church Team is to provide support, encouragement and resources as God opens new doors of opportunity to plant churches. This is only possible by the generous and selfless giving of the UBA churches. So, the Starting New Strong Church team would like to thank UBA for the generous support they are offering to our church plants and to the church planters. We believe these are exciting days in the life of UBA church planting. We are praying God would truly plant these churches so they will in turn help UBA plant more churches and reach Cleveland and McClain counties.
